He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sell and Mary Sell (Adair); his son Douglas Walter Sell; and his brother John Sell. He is survived by: his wife Lynette Sell (Anderson); his son Scott; his granddaughter Halie Karmazin (Sell); his grandson-in-law Paul Karmazin; his grandson Hayden Sell; and his great grandchildren, Makenna and Jaxtyn Karmazin.
