He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chopp and Mary Chopp Carrara; his wife Maggie Chopp; and his brother Albert Carrara. He is survived by: his children, John A. Chopp of Lawrence and Dana Curley (Daniel) of Whitehall; and his sister Bernadine Giammarco of Lawrence. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
