He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert P. O'Connell and Anna Maye O'Connell Rice (Degner); his son Bradley O'Connell; his siblings, Patricia O'Connell, David, Steven and William O'Connell; and his stepfather James Rice.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Espy O'Connell; and his brothers, Richard and Mike O'Connell (Robin). He is also survived by four stepchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
