He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Arlene Sweitzer; his parents, Roy Harold and Margaret Sweitzer (Cairns); and his brother Clifford M. "Jack" Sweitzer. He is survived by: his sons, John (Robin Sweitzer) of Muhlenberg Township and Edward Sweitzer of Laurel, Maryland.; his grandchildren, Jessica Sweitzer of Muhlenberg Township and Bradley (Ashley Rhodes) of Temple; and his great grandchildren, Allison and Hailey Rhodes.
