He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Shugar and Adalaide Stout; and his sister Judith N. Boyer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Shugar (Kaleda); his sons, Thomas R. Shugar of Reading and Mark T. (Jessie Shugar) of Georgetown, DE; his stepdaughters, Kathleen A. Gantert of Reading, Carol L. (Joel Esser) of Mohrsville, Lisa M. (Brian Stauffer) of Leesport and Stacy A. Linderman (Matt Mayer) of Spring Township; and his sister Camille B. Weinrich of Reading. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and has one great-grandchild.
