He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley A. Hardinger (Delp); his daughter Julie A. Gatheral (Ian Gatheral); his parents, Claude Hardinger and Mary Hardinger; and his siblings, Norman Hardinger, Ruth Mauer and Arlene Wentzel.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Hardinger, Richard Rick Hardinger (Evelyn) and Mary Pohl (late Norbert); his grandchildren, Holli Castro and Scott Sitler; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Glass, Betty Hartline and Irvin Hardinger. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Calvary Lutheran Church, 1009 Elizabeth Avenue, Laureldale PA 19605; or to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
