He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shade and Catherine Shade (Moyer); his wife Josephine Shade (Weber); and his siblings, Dolores Erb, Joan Henszey, Ronald Shade, Robert Shade, Betty Schoch and Shirley Spoon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen M. Lutz (Eric A.) of Sinking Spring and Tara Wertz (Galen J. Jr.) of Berwyn; his grandchildren, Tanner, Kennedy, Kallie, Jenna, Emily and Galen; and his siblings, Vicki Shade, Patricia Bertatie, Dennis Shade and Alan Shade.
