He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Franks and Mary E. Franks (Schigner); and his brother Harry Schigner. He is survived by: his wife Janet A. Franks (Lechman) of Latrobe; his children, Mary E. Repko (Martin) of Derry, William J. Franks Jr. (Kathy) of Jupiter, FL, Michele Brace (Rob) of Swanee, GA and Michael Franks (Amy) of Lakewood, CO; his grandchildren, Casey Chadwick (Daniel), Jake Brace, Angelina Franks, Samantha Franks and Liam Franks; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Chadwick and Braydon Chadwick.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 306 St. John Drive, Latrobe, PA 15650.
