He was predeceased by: his father George Lute; his father-in-law Paul; his wife Lucy P. Lute (Balazek); his grandson Ryan J. Lute; and his siblings, Eleanor Ernest, Hazel Kirk, George, Charles and David Lute.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Lute, Jr. (Brook) of Annandale, Jeffrey Lute (Lindy) of Stahlstown, PA, Karen Bennett (Jim) of New Alexandria, PA, Lisa Koch of Pittsburgh, PA and Dennis Lute (Laura) of Latrobe, PA.; and his grandchildren, Jamie Bizup, Heather Weaver, Dalton Lute, Nicole Koch, Alexandra Koch and Samantha Koch. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
