With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Walter Amos Gaffney Jr. of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Gaffney Sr. and Thelma Gaffney (Cole); and his sisters, Mary Underwood and Patricia Magda (Paul). He is survived by: his wife Susan Marie Gaffney (Coleman) of Latrobe; his son Ryan Gaffney (Sarah) of Latrobe; his grandchildren, Jack, Kaitlyn and Emma Gaffney; his sister Lydia Larrabee (Ronald); his parents-in-law, Edward and Lois Coleman of Latrobe; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Mercer (Bill), Deborah Luttner (Kevin), Patricia Wagner (Dan), David Coleman (Tracy) and Homer Underwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (331 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center's Cancer Ward, 3333 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229 or to a charity of your choice.
