He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Karol and Marie Karol (Hegler); his daughter Tracy Ann Karol; his grandson Michael Steffen Karol; and his siblings, Gerard "Jerry" Karol and Marlene Karol.
He is survived by: his wife Frances A. Karol (Blawas) of Latrobe; his children, Andrea Solomon (Charles) of Latrobe, John Karol (Terri) of Leesburg, VA and David Karol of Latrobe; his grandson Sam Karol (Gabby); and his children, Tyler Karol (Neelie), Tanner Karol and Caroline Solomon.
