She was predeceased by: her parents, Wasil Leyko and Mary Leyko (Panchishyn); and her siblings, John, Michael, Andrew, Steven Leyko, Mary Cycak, Alice Leyko and Ann Hylwa.
She is survived by: her husband Paul L. Shanefelt of Latrobe; her children, Paul Alan Shanefelt of Monessen and Jill A. Deglau (James) of Latrobe; her grandchildren, Allie Rizzo (Marc) and Dylan Deglau (Ashley); and her sister-in-law Louise Hantz of Latrobe.
