She was predeceased by: her parents, John Garris and Rose Garris (Thompson); her husband John R. Velkey Sr.; her daughter Debbie Velkey; and her siblings, Ella Mae Angelo, Patty Mooney, Ruth Kunkle, Naomi Jean Stewart, Betty Welsh, Mary Lou Garris, George, Roger, John, Richard and Charles Garris.
She is survived by: her children, John R. Velkey Jr. of Latrobe, Mark M. Velkey of Decatur, AR, Julia Velkey of Decatur, AR, Kathy Donahey (Richard) of Latrobe and Cindy Stemmler (Richard) of Latrobe; her siblings, Larry Garris (Kathy) of Greensburg, James Garris (Bonnie) of Greensburg, Sandy Marol (Jerry) of Latrobe and Lynn Personette (Bruce) of Chicago, IL; her sisters-in-law, Sophie Velkey of Latrobe and Sue Garris of Greensburg; her grandchildren, Chris, Jeremy, Dean, Joshua, Matthew, Ashley, Richard and Lisa; and her great grandchildren, Autumn, Brianna, Cole, Xander, Jacob, Emma, Emily and Elliot. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
