With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mario A. Battaglia (Latrobe, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 4, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Battaglia and Antonina Battaglia (Quattrocchi); his wife Irene Battaglia (Polochko); his son Mark Battaglia; his siblings, Samuel, Joseph, Vincent Battaglia and Virginia Battaglia; and his siblings-in-law, Anne, Pauline Polochko, Margaret Zyvith (Walter), Agnes Lopatich (Steve) and Michael Polochko (Mary).

He is survived by: his children, Toni McCurdy, Michael Battaglia and Maria Peluso (Wayne); his grandsons, Tony Peluso (Jessica), Tim Peluso (Jennifer) and David Peluso; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Isabella, Anna, Olivia and Emily; and his sisters-in-law, Eva Battaglia and Anastasia Battaglia. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to Holy Family Church Restoration Fund, 1200 Ligonier Street, Latrobe, PA 15650 or to Bethlen Communities Activities Center, 66 Carey School Road, Ligonier PA, 15658.
