She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Palek and Rita Palek Reed (Murphy); her husband John Kolan; her brother Raymond G. Palek; her stepfather Asa B. Reed Sr.; and her pets, Punkin and Jazzy.
She is survived by: her daughter Loni Adelson (Daniel) of Derry; her grandchildren, Olivia, Mackenzie and Mara Lewis; her siblings, Kevin Palek (Cynthia) of Latrobe, Sean Palek of St. Petersburg, FL and Lauren Ronald (Ken) of Powhattan, VA; and her nieces and nephews, Kevin Palek Jr., Kelli Palek O'Rourke (Tim), Amanda Trimmer (Neal Hull), Samantha Trimmer, Andrew Palek (Yvonne), Jamie Palek and Lindsey Palek Koring (Patrick).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 515, 14 Cedar Street, Latrobe, PA 15650.
