He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Maher and Edna G. Maher (Hunt); and his siblings, Monsignor William Maher, John, Edward, James Roger, Richard, Leo, Robert, Archabbot Paul Maher O. S. B., Regina Atkinson, Sister Rita Maher and Loretta Maher. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Anne Home, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601.
