He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph L. Schott Sr. and Mary Edna Schott (Frye); his wife Pauline Schott (Ritenour); his son-in-law Gene Nance; and his siblings, Charles "Ted", Paul Schott, Marian Murray, Dorothy Murray, Marjorie Eltringham, Catherine Melago, Dora Jean Slivko and Patricia Kistler.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph D. Schott (Connie) of Level Green, Jeffrey L. Schott (Rhonda) of Moneta, VA, Deborah S. Nance of Harrison City, Kathleen A. Catanzarite (Jake) of Millsboro, DE and Christine M. Quidetto (Dave) of Latrobe; his grandchildren, Courtney Massey (Jason), Aaron Nance (Megan), Justine Sowers (Chris), Tyler Schott (Ashley), Jordan Nance (Sarah), Joel Schott (Sara), Hannah Catalfu (Craig), Zack Quidetto (Paula) and Haley Shannon (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Lincoln, Kennedy, Olivia, Caden, Cash, Wayland, Cheyenne and Sofia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Church, 220 St. Cecilia Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
