He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Stofa and Margaret Stofa (Ondrusko); and his brother-in-law Thomas Moran. He is survived by: his sisters, Christine Moran of Johnstown and Susan (Philip Scott) of Johnstown; his nephews, Eric Moran and Ian Scott; and his niece Brandi Garbinski.
