She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil J. Kraynak and Mildred Kraynak (Thomas); her sister Michelle A. Kraynak; and her nephew Matthew Carlson. She is survived by: her husband David F. Walters of Latrobe; her children, Kara M. Bush (George III) of Derry and Steven F. Walters (Danni) of Penn Hills; her grandchildren, Tessa and Barrett; her sister Christine Carlson (John) of Latrobe; her niece Marisa Carlson; her great-nephew Evan; her great-niece Chloe Carlson; and also Heather Carlson-Jaquez.
