With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James R. Hajas of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Hajas and Catherine E. Hajas (Noel); and his siblings, Patricia Harrold, Mary Hill and Joseph Hajas.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores J. Hajas (Prodin) of Latrobe; his sons, Mark A. Hajas (Sherry) of Frostburg, MD and Brian K. Hajas (Kim) of Fort Mill, SC; his siblings, Frank Hajas of Norton, OH, Kenny Hajas of Latrobe, Terry Hajas (Barbara) of Latrobe, Barbara Sisak of Latrobe, Joan Green of Greensburg, Laverne Smartnick (Frank) of Greensburg and Loretta Maccarelli (Chuck) of Mt. Pleasant; and his grandson Ethan Graham Hajas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Church (306 St Johns Dr, Latrobe, PA 15650).
