He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Gravatt Jr. and Goldie Gravatt (Sherer); his former wife June Gravatt (Price); his son-in-law Richard Doerfler; and his siblings, Walter Gravatt and Linda Piper.
He is survived by: his wife Milagrina Gravatt (Cacho); his children, Cindy L. Kibe (Gary), Jane L. Doerfler, Joan R. Miller (Brad), Bryan Gravatt (Gayle) and Zwaenpoel Gravatt; his grandchildren, Gary Kibe Jr. (Michele), Kristen (Kibe), Pruitt (Keith), William Reed Doerfler (Lindsey), Bethany Doerfler, Brandon J. Miller and Alaina Gravatt; his great grandchildren, Travis Kibe (Emmly Mitchell), Samantha Kibe, Tyler, Kaylee and Nathan Pruitt; his great great grandchild Kayden Kibe; and his sister Goldie Cochran. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
