It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen M. Kissell (Latrobe, Pennsylvania), born in United, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Whisdosh and Agnes S. Whisdosh (Kendi); her son Thomas X; and her siblings, Steve A. Whisdosh and Agnes C. Shultz.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas M. Kissell; her children, Dr. Helen Burns (Jerry), Paulette Stratico (Chuck), Darlene Kimmel (Carl Pedersen), Don Kissell (Valerie), Kathryn Shaffer (Jeff), Cindy Hoffman (Randy), Annette Mowery (Ron Reiner), Jennifer Strayer (Randy) and Kevin X. Kissell; her daughter-in-law Mary C. Kissell; and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Abzanka and Frances Kissell. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Please be prepared to adhere to all current medical guidelines, including wearing a mask and social distancing, while visiting the funeral home and attending Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Helen and Thomas Kissell Endowed Service Learning Fund at St. Vincent College, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
