He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Ellenberger and Nancy A. Brashear; his son Dylan Ellenberger; and his mother-in-law Mary Jane McBryar. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca J. "Becky" Ellenberger (McBryar); his sons, Douglas B. Ellenberger II (Jessica) of Somerset and Daniel E. Ellenberger of Latrobe; his siblings, Charles L. Ellenberger (Robin) of Bolivar, Shawn E. Ellenberger (Toni) of Latrobe and Victoria L. Ellenberger of Las Vegas; and his siblings-in-law, Sandy and Rick Garris of Derry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to defer expenses would be greatly appreciated.
