He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph A. and Mary Mikulich Messmer, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his children, Heather Bly (Steve), Amanda Messmer (Dan Speal) and Jacob Messmer (Megan Stahl); his grandchildren, Cassidy Lynn and Samuel Quinn; and his siblings, Anna Hall (Albert), Carolyn Dolinar (Kevin), Ralph Messmer, Jr. (Candy), William Messmer (Janice) and Michael Messmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
