He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Mullen and Florence Mullen (Francis); his wife Theresa M. "Tess" Mullen (Frichtel); his son Stephen M. Mullen; his grandson Allen C. Mullen; his siblings, Paul Mullen, Mary Catherine Mullen and Virginia Mullen; and his nephew Edward Frichtel.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Petrucci (Joe), Chuck Mullen (Debbie), Jim Mullen (Diane), Jo Anne Guskiewicz (Ken) and Chris Mullen (Jenny); his daughter-in-law Anna Mullen; and his grandchildren, Steve Mullen (Karey), Sean Mullen (Allison), Joe Petrucci (Meghan), Kelly Holes (Clint), Jeff Petrucci (Jackie), Chuck Mullen (Erin), Leanne Gessler (JD), Michelle FioRito (Bill), Bryan Mullen (Sarah), Danielle Mullen, Derek Mullen, Scott Guskiewicz (Nikki), Chad Guskiewicz, Mandee Mizikar (Matt), Michelle Ruby (Frank) and Melissa Dinsmore (Joel). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren.
