He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Ashbaugh (Hutchinson) and James Ashbaugh; and his daughter Rene Brownlee of Belle Vernon. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Ashbaugh of Latrobe; his son Eric Ashbaugh (Deb) of North Carolina; his grandsons, Alex and Andrew; and his great grandchild Ethan Lotti.
