He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Ashbaugh and Mary A. Ashbaugh (Hostoffer); and his siblings, Raymond Ashbaugh, Betty Hoffer, Lois Lehman Elliott, Charlotte Kraynak and Grace Ashbaugh.
He is survived by: his wife Verna Ashbaugh (Tokarcik); his children, Chuck Ashbaugh (Julie) of Latrobe and Cheryl Goughneour (Eric) of Latrobe; and his grandchildren, Cameron, Ava Ashbaugh, Ethan, Carli Goughneour, Lucy, Max Cramer, Ben, Alex and Zack Battaglia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home (601 Weldon St, Latrobe, PA 15650). Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Cecilia Church (218 St Cecilia Rd, Latrobe, PA 15693).
