He is survived by: his siblings, Paul "Babe" Shaffer (Cathy) of Portage, James Shaffer (Carol) of Martindale, John "Bo" Shaffer (Lori) of Greensburg, Richard "Ricko" Shaffer (Annette) of Portage, Collette McCool (Rege) of Portage, Rhoda Gordon (Bill) of Salix, PA, Glynnis Sherry (Bob) of Ashville, PA and Heather Ann Pudliner (John) of Ebensburg, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
