He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin "Whitey" and Effie Shellhammer Chester; his former wife Barbara Chester; and his brother William Chester. He is survived by: his wife Karen Stone-Chester; his daughters, Susan Chester Peet (Christopher), Sharon Sheperis (Chris), Jessica Chester (Richard Deitzer) and Nicole Chester; his stepchildren, Cherie, Autumn, Amanda and Patrick Stone; his grandchildren, Haley (Christopher Peet), Jacob (Aiden Sheperis), Kinsley Mae Deitzer and Baby Deitzer Due (Mallory Powell); and his siblings, George Chester and Frederica Shaver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
