She was predeceased by: her parent Casper Salansky; her husband George E. Simms Sr.; and her grandson George E. Simms III. She is survived by: her parent Anna Salansky; her brother Robert Salansky (Joann); her children, George E. Jr., Mark, Gary, Leanne and Jason Simms; her grandchildren, Lacey Simms, Brittany Simms and Derrick Simms; and her great grandchild Theodore Wengrin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the WVW wrestling program in Rita's name.
