It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John K. Bortner Jr. (Lansdowne, Pennsylvania), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John K. Sr. Bortner and Edith Bortner. He is survived by: his wife Jane; his sons, John III (Kellie) and Matthew (Kara); his grandchildren, Nate, Lea, Josie, Holden and Johnny; and his sister Mary Lynn Kowalski. He is also survived by his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philomena Church (41 E Baltimore Ave, Lansdowne, PA 19050).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in John's memory be made to the American Cancer Society (http://www.donate3.cancer.org) or Penn Medicine Hospice (http://www.pennmedicine.org). .
