He was predeceased by: his daughter Mary Ellen Atkinson DeLong. He is survived by: his wife Anne Atkinson; his brother Dennis Atkinson (Susan) of Blakeslee, PA; and his children, Kathleen Atkinson of Lansdale, Michele Santillo, Elizabeth Schmidt (Michael Schmidt Sr.) of Harleysville and William Atkinson (Kendra) of Myerstown Pa. He is also survived by his family, including his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with his many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home (701 Derstine Ave, Lansdale, PA 19446). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery (60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill's honor to the VFW of Lansdale Post 32, supporting the veterans he deeply admired and served alongside.
