He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Petras (Guhosky); his parents, Philip Petrus and Mary Petrus; and his sister Marie Sincavage. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Lutz, Lynn Moyer and Cathy Kenter (Keith); his granddaughter Nichole Moyer; his great grandchild Marilynn Hathaway; and his siblings, Joanie Dennis (Lenny) and John Petrus (Barbara).

“I am so sorry to hear about my good friend Wassel. I only knew him for a short time but he made such an amazing impact on my life. He was so sweet but also the most stubborn person ever. He loved his wife and daughters fiercely. I heard many stories about his young life and about his family and raising his girls. He made me laugh so much we watched scary movies together and eat cookies. I am so happy I got the opportunity to meet such an amazing person. Wass will be greatly missed. -Meredith”
