He is survived by: his parents, David R. Morcom (Sara Gilderdale) and Merle Anne Morcom (Walter E. Hawkins); his children, Tyler D. Morcom and Leela A. Morcom; and his brothers, Travis R. Morcom and Justin R. Morcom (June O.). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Shane's memory to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation.
