He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley M. Higgins; his parents, Robert Higgins and Charlotte Higgins (Bittorf); and his brother Robert Higgins. He is survived by: his daughters, Christina "Tina" Hall (Kenneth) of Lansdale, Stacie Gresch (Edward) of South Carolina and Leslie Higgins of Norristown; and his grandchildren, Tori, Lauren, Tyler, Corey and Talia.
