He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Cordes (Hay); his parents, Robert Cordes and Martha Cordes; and his brothers, Robert Cordes and Richard Cordes.
He is survived by: his children, Rev. John W. Cordes, Jr. (Janice) of Bethlehem, Glenn A. Cordes of North Wales, Lynne Domeracki (Ron) of Quakertown and Lisa G. Cordes of North Wales.
