He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Strobel; his parents, Alfred Strobel and Helen Strobel (Abe); his sister Helen Spaeth; and his son-in-law Richard Shipe.
He is survived by: his children, John S. Strobel (Karen) of Hatfield, Karen L. Shipe of Bechtelsville, Tracey L. Tupper (Craig) of Limerick and Nicole M. Gordon (Rob) of Bayville, NJ; his grandchildren, Jaimie (Derek), Zak (Cassandra), Kacy (Andy), Madison (Drew), Kyle, Jesse, Alexa, Joshua, Jack, Henry, Amber, Rachel and Mackenzie; his great grandchildren, Aiden, George, Shelby and Giulia; and his brother Alfred Strobel (Carole) of Rydal.
