She was predeceased by: her husband Carl E. Hunte, Sr.; her parents, Nathaniel Handy and Lovina Handy (Jackson); her grandson Careem; her siblings, Myrtle, Vera, Inez, Osmond and James; and her son-in-law Kaestner.
She is survived by: her aunt Louise; her children, Josephine Robertson and Carl E. Hunte, Jr. (Ettle); her grandchild Meshagae (Andrew); her children, Shieka (Craig), Nicole and Martin (Clarissa); her great grandchildren, Cyvae, Saraye, Michal, Asher, Maayan, Sapphira, Arian and Jazmyn; and her sisters, Alma and Avery.
