He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, J. Harlan Burkhart and Mary Rohrer Burkhart; his siblings, Marian, Frank, Roy (Ada Stoltzfus) and Mary Livengood (David); his children, Donna Shank (Rowland, Jr) of Harrisonburg, VA, Kenneth (Joyce Thompson) of Manheim, Barbara Freed (Dennis) of Akron, Lorretta Witmer (Randy) of Lancaster, PA, Steven (Cindy Miller) of Lancaster, PA and Daniel (Gina Oberholtzer) of Manheim, PA; and his great grandchild Abel Witmer. He was also cherished by nineteen grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Marilyn and the family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be sent to the Sharing Fund at Landisville Mennonite Church.
