He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Slater and Christina Cameron Slater; his wife Kathleen McLaughlin Slater; and his daughters, Christina Slater and Lorna Braun.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Antes of Manheim, Fiona (Kelly Matthews) of Manheim, Alexander Slater of Lancaster and Andrew (Shari Slater). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
