He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F Johnson and Sally V. Johnson (Rutledge); his stepmother Kathryn H Johnson; his wife Elaine H. Johnson; and his sister Joanne R Zastavny.
He is survived by: his siblings, David W Johnson and Roberta Pettit; his children, Eric W Johnson and Carol E Edwards; and his son-in-law David L Edwards. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity, Highland Presbyterian Church, or Water Street Rescue Mission.
