He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Herring (Hunter); his parents, Walter Herring and Gertrude Herring; and his brother Lawrence. He is survived by: his daughters, Helen McCormick (Ron), Beverly Quevedo (Rick), Ruth Russell (Lee) and Carol Cargile (David); his grandchildren, Ryan McCormick (Shae), Todd McCormick, Michelle Hummel (Corey), Jessica Clary (Colleen), Kaitlyn Nye (Brandon) and Stephen Cargile (Danielle); his great grandchildren, Chase, Tyler McCormick, Lily, Abi Hummel, Ellie and Cameron Cargile; and his brother Richard Herring of Unionville, PA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Over the last 15 years, he donated and planted flowers at The Overlook Golf course.
