He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stephan and Ethel Davis Stephan; his grandson Kyle D. Stephan; and his siblings, Sally Buckwalter and George Stephan, III.

He is survived by: his sons, T. Matthew (Sharlene Movinsky Stephan) of New Holland and Cory D. Stephan (Allison Shaffer); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jason and Quinten Stephan; and his brother Joseph D. (Brenda Burkey Stephan) of New Holland.
