She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Groome and Helen Groome (Johnson); her husband Ralph L. Root, Jr.; her son Douglas G. Root; and her sister Jean Stauffer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Musso (Frank) of Lancaster and Kelley Lutz (Harry) of Lancaster; her grandchildren, Michael Musso (Jody), Zachary Musso (Lizz Chin), Devon Groff (Matthew), Taylor Landis (Allen), Ella Root and Jack Root; her great grandchildren, Mara, Jocelyn, Madeline Musso and Bodie Groff; and her sister Gloria Steckel.
