With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra D. Glatfelter of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, born in Stillwater, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Karns and Edith Karns (Force); her husband Jere V. Glatfelter; and her siblings, Eleanor JoAnn Karns Johnson and Kermit W. Karns.

She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Duffy and Mary Beth (Jeffrey Sacks); and her siblings, Thomas Karns (Cindy) of Elizabeth, CO, Diane (John Ditty), Richard Karns (Linda) and Lightstreet. She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Glatfelter, My dear Grandmother... whom with I have many fond memories, growing up close to her as child, in her home, and spending days with her, sometimes going to see HER mother and playing with the toys that her and even her mother played with, they preserved such good memories that got passed down to me, reminders of the changing times.. She was devoted to her beliefs in God, and to being true, honest, and stern.. and would say no foul word. She was a beauty.”
