He is survived by: his wife Sandra Rovigne Bovie (Beaupre); his children, Jill Marie Slagle (Carl), Michael Joseph Bovie (Susan) and Darren Allen Bovie (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Joseph Slagle, Evan, Natalie and Brooke Bovie.
