Robert D. Wetzel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert D. Wetzel of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Wetzel and Clara Bell Wetzel (McDannell); his siblings, Floyd Wetzel, Thomas L. Wetzel and Genevieve L. Strasbaugh; his granddaughter Danielle E. Wetzel; and his daughter-in-law Joan B. Wetzel (James H. Wetzel).
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph A. (Debbie D. Wetzel) of Landisville and James H. Wetzel (Julie E. Wetzel) of Terre Hill; his grandchildren, Carlie N. Wetzel of Meriden, NH, Benjamin J. Wetzel of Upland, IN and Christopher A. Wetzel of Pelham, AL; and his great grandchildren, Caroline, Lydia, Nathan, Evan and Mark.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prince of Peace Episcopal Church (20 W High St, Gettysburg, PA 17325). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bendersville Cemetery (126 Church St, Bendersville, PA 17306).
