He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Barranger and Norenne Barranger; and his brother Mark Barranger. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Barranger; his pet Maggie; his children, Richard Barranger (Michele), Rhosalee Parkin (Blair), Rebekah Beltran (Gabriel), Randal Barranger (Danielle) and Robin James Barranger; his grandchildren, Nicolette, Gabrielle, Richard, Donald (Morgan), Rosina, Jacob, Karley, Vera, Christian, Paul and Marissa; his great grandchild Thomas; and his sister Renie Harris.
