He was predeceased by: his wife Julia Hess. He is survived by: his parents, Philip Jr. Hess and Edith Hess; his daughter Nicole A.; his son-in-law Steven T. Newman of Lancaster; his sister Julie Sawyer (Michael) of Ephrata; and his nieces and nephews, Brittany Groff, Courtney Bippus and Derrick Groff. He is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
