He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmen Mendez (Labiosa) and Michael Mendez. He is survived by: his children, Mark Anthony Mendez, Jr. of Philadelphia, Melanie Mendez of Lancaster, Patrick Mendez, Sr. (Maxine) of College Park, MD and Manuel E. Abrante III of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Mickey, Dejalee, Davion, Anaijah, Elijah, Brionna, Patrick, Jr., Mason, Savannah, Manuel IV, Adaliz, Aurora and Tiago; his great grandchild Kairo; his siblings, Barbara Mendez, Michael Mendez, Evelio Tamayo and Abelardo Tamayo; his niece Clarissa; and his nephews, Gabriel and Brandon.
